HISTORY
1975 Bricklin SV1 with a 351 Ford Windsor Engine, 5.8L V8.
These were only produced for 2 years: 772 made in 1974 and 2,134 in 1975. From a survey about 20 years ago, it was estimated that there were less than 1700 at that time. It was a 2 door sports car with safety as a high priority: SV1 stands for Safety Vehicle 1. Features like a roll over structure, energy absorbing bumpers and no cigarette lighter. The most unique feature would be the power operated gullwing doors, never before offered on a production car.
It is a 2 seater sports car with gullwing doors and hidden headlights. The car is high-power to low weight ratio. The previous owner did a full restorative customization and upgraded the paint and interior to blue and grey colour-schemes. The door functions have been significantly improved. The original hydraulic system was upgraded with electric/air system. It has its original glass, the rear window has an electric defroster. The quad exhaust sings!
The car comes with a binder full of technical articles and tips/tricks that have been collected over the years. Also included are original Brickline Magazine (Newsletter) Issues, random accolades (notes of awards from past car shows) and original keys and owner card.
